What are Dispersed Camping Corridors?
Every National Forest has its own guidelines regarding camping. The general rule is “The forest belongs to everyone” but there are rules regarding camping in your National Forest that have recently taken effect and are being strictly enforced; As part of the recent Travel Management changes that have closed off many roads to motorized vehicle access. Typically, users are allowed to park one vehicle length from the road (~30 feet) and either camp there or walk to a campsite further from the road. In addition to this camping rule, Coconino National Forest has designated  specific “Dispersed camping corridors”, where folks are allowed to drive up to 300 feet from the road to car camp. HuntMap, has painstakingly captured his information and clearly displayed it on those units that are within the Coconino National Forest to make planning your scouting expedition easier.

What source information do you use for HuntMap maps?
HuntMaps use the latest in shaded relief technology or DEM (Digital Terrain Models) to show eye-popping terrain. These are the most detailed maps available, and they provide uniform information across the entire US.  We painstakingly acquire our road, tank, land use and other information for various public, private and third-party sources.
